Welcome to our Teen Book Club

November's Book

Teens (14-18) are invited to participate in a book club of contemporary young adult novels. Books chosen will focus on some of the more difficult topics teens face in their every day lives: relationships, depression, substance abuse, violence, etc. This book club will promote discussions of these issues and how authors have chosen to address them in their novels.

Reading questions will be provided in advance for teens interested in focusing the discussion, but most conversation will be driven organically by what readers think about the book and the issues that come up from reading.

A licensed therapist will be part of the volunteer facilitators of the group and resources and references will be provided for parents and teens.

All Book Club meetings will be held on the last Tuesday of each month from 7-8:30pm at the Berwyn Library Teen Room:
2701 S. Harlem Avenue
Berwyn, IL
(708) 795-8000
